Elections are conducted so that people can choose their eligible representatives to fulfill their needs and requirements. The election commissions do provide voter identification card to every 18 above persons from which they can vote. The present election method is much improved than the 90s elections due to implication of Electronic Voting Machines. Earlier paper ballots method was widely preferred where chances were more of fraudulent voting and booth capturing. But now-a-days EVM have the capacity to cast votes to five per minute, can store voting signatures and thumb impressions in electronic database. This method reduces the unfair judgments, electoral fraud and abuse.
